Partnership Overview

The International Peace Commission (IPC) established a formal cooperation framework connected to peacebuilding, development cooperation, community engagement, and institutional collaboration in Nigeria. The partnership framework emphasized dialogue, peaceful development, human rights, education, community resilience, and sustainable social progress.

The cooperation framework reflected IPC’s commitment to supporting international peacebuilding initiatives, strengthening civil society engagement, encouraging youth and community participation, and advancing sustainable development values through cooperation with governmental and community stakeholders.

The initiative supports IPC’s broader international mission to promote peace, humanitarian development, sustainable communities, and constructive cooperation between civil society, public institutions, and community-based actors.

Scope of Cooperation

Peacebuilding & Dialogue

IPC supported dialogue-based cooperation focused on peaceful development, conflict resolution awareness, community engagement, and strengthening cooperation between institutions and civil society.

Development & Community Resilience

The partnership framework referenced development cooperation, educational development, women empowerment, health education, and public information services supporting community resilience.

Sustainable Development & Peacebuilding Goals

The cooperation documents referenced themes related to the Sustainable Development Goals, human rights, democratic development, health education, women empowerment, crisis resolution, peaceful development, and information services for the public, government, international and regional organizations.
